I stay away from homeowner deals unless they are paying me to pickup the wood they have or they have a machine to load my truck & trailer then I will go for free. If I'm helping for free that is one thing, a friend of mine asked me if I could bring my splitter to his church for a wood splitting work day. He is too sick to help so I'll step in for him to help his church.
I particularly like how he thinks putting "No liability" in the ad is going to change anything if someone injures themselves doing work for him in exchange for compensation.
