    Chickens go nuts over the pomace also. When I do a bunch of cider I take the pomace and dump it in the woods behind the house where it ferments and the yard smells like beer. Then the raccoons get in it and have loud parties. I don't mind their loud rock music but I don't like them ringing the doorbell at midnight wanting to use the bathroom!

    I dump a bucket of drops in with my 11 chickens and it takes them about a week to eat them all.

    Now dropping in a big sack of spent, hot, sweet grain from beer making really gets them excited.
