She will be 8 in November! For sure she and my 4yr son will be helping out. You are so right those are the memories you carry for a lifetime.....! Problem is we are having a very tuff time picking a paint color, LOL! Of course she wants pink, purple or teal and my son wants blue..........so were gonna settle on a nice earthy color to blend in hopefully.

Just one more reason I don't like pallets, besides they tend to make the area look a bit, well, messy or a bit too much redneck.

Well; I'm just a bit further South than you BWS, so I suppose that makes me a 'redneck"!!!!

Is the FFA still selling them? If so, do you know the sale price?

I got those for 300.00 a piece only because I ordered them back some time ago....
The FFA Advisor told me all the material went up in price....now they are 375.00....still not bad...

    Hello guys!
I live in Suffolk County area.
I do not have these types of stacks, but a huge pile of wood which I later presumed that it was infested with Termites. So, I tried many techniques to remove the termites which included spraying chemicals, keeping the wood off the ground but that was only a temporary solution. Termites ate almost all my wood up so I had to take a serious action and so I decided to contact the professionals. The professionals did a termite inspection in Suffolk County area and found out the actual root of the Termites and removed it. It was a great relief!

If you stack the wood on an elevated platform and top cover it, as the wood dries, the conditions will be less hospitable to the termites and they will move out. Leaving a pile of wood to get rained on allows moisture to be retained and is ideal termite habitat. I’ve found it to be similar with carpenter ants...

Welcome to the forum Brenda. Hope you keep the termites under control. I know WeldrDave also has termite problems so maybe he can also offer some help.

My pallets go on top of blocks so they don't rot.
I've also found a good source for plastic pallets
