Shed is full and all my heaped up split wood is stacked.(about 3 cords) Busted my butt in the silly 90* temps over Memorial Day weekend to get it done. Just shy of 4 cords in the shed and another 8 or so stacked. That’s 3 years for me but probably the lightest I’ve been in a while. Either way if I die tomorrow the family will stay warm for a few years. :D

    A few pictures.

If doing that much work in this weather didn't kill you, I'm betting you'll make it way longer than tomorrow. Nice looking stacks, money in the bank, & it's a good feeling.

Holy moly! The next time after you're done with the stacks, upload a picture of your arms too.

rdust, that really looks good and my hat is off to you working in the kind of weather we had. I simply quit working until this humidity and heat moves out.

Those blocks do complement your stacks really well.

So do you intentionally split rounds into those square blocks? I am feeding a bk too. Always trying to improve the system but it takes like three years to burn what you split today so changes are gradual!

Yes, whenever it makes sense for the round size. I like filler pieces for filling all the gaps and the edges that I knock off to make them blockish work good as fillers. The blocks also work good for cribbing the ends of the stacks. I do like a mix of split types though.

rdust, you've got some fine looking stacks there, and just a fantastic job cribbing ( any of you newbies out there, take notice on how it's done ) Too bad you had to do it in this heat, but you got er' done!

Gotta go pull some weeds in this heat and humidity. :tears: I'd much rather be working on my firewood on a crisp fall day.

Thanks, but methinks you have learned nothing from me. You already knew how to do it and you do it very well.
