Lady that I've cut numerous trees for is downsizing/moving. I helped her square away a few larger items etc. No big deal, happy to help a neighbor. She asked me if I wanted her dad's chainsaw, hadn't been run in years. I hesitated a bit because it seemed like a sentimental item, but she said she knew I'd take care of it. Case said 015 AV, I popped the top open looked quickly & thanked her for the generous offer. Put it in the truck & left. Surprise, surprise when I opened up the case & pulled the saw out! Fuel oil & tuned, runs perfect. The sawdust on it was from me testing it, it was spotless in the case.
That is super great Adam! Good on you for helping and what a gift for doing so. I'm sure she knew it would both be appreciated and used in addition to you taking good care of it. Have fun!
That’s a gem, congrats! Now you just need one more for your other hand! I don’t do any climbing, but I still like to use mine sometimes when limbing out a tree cause it’s so light. Especially like a pine or spruce - they can really wear you out with all the branches.
That saw is in incredible condition Kinda neat to see the old school engineering of scaling down the big saws to a small package.
