Breaking Nails

Discussion in 'Axes, Mauls, and Hand Saws' started by LodgedTree, Mar 14, 2018.

?

How do we look at this turn of events?

  1. Fail: House-Husband Lodgedtree should have had plenty of kindling pre-split

  2. Fail: Katie, being a Newhampshirite should be skilled with axe-maul

  3. Awesome: Katie took the initaitive to split kindling herself despite dainty fingernails

  4. Awesome: A lady who can rock a pair of high heels, miniskirt and an axe-maul

  5. Awesome: Knows how to stay warm by making a fire

  6. Fail: Should have asked house-husband to keep her warm instead

So Katie informed me she broke (2) nails while swinging the combination Vulcan axe-maul while making some kindling out of some spruce rounds. Not the kind of nails that puts a house together mind you, but rather red lacquered nails found on the ends of her dainty fingers. This kind of behavior demands a poll.

Feel free to add any other potential poll result as this is all in fun! :handshake:

From my experience with wimmen I say it allllllll depends on Katie.
Was she mad? If so, a prudent husband would choose #1 or #6.
Was she resigned? If so #3, #4, or #5 would be appropriate.

Oh no, Katie does not get mad. In all the years we have been married I have seen her get mad twice, once saying a bad word.

My ex-wife was taking us to court...again...and Katie had taken the court document, and called her a bad name. I was SHOCKED, but Katie was so mad. The other time was with me in the only fight we ever had. We had just married and I felt she was treating her daughter with favoritism, and mine not so much. That ultimatly ended in #6, which makes me almost wish we fought more so we could make up!!

I don't have long fingernails, but I always wear gloves when splitting.

    We have a saying here:

Maine, where the men are men, and the woman are too!

Of course that only begs the question; How do you tell the Maine woman apart from the moose? The women here wear plaid!:picard:

How do I dare say all this? Well Katie is from new Hampshire of course. After having two Maine wives, I figured I should probably import the third. :headbang:

Quite the flock of Lucinda's there (Paul Bunyon's girlfriend).

Where were they when I was available? Okay, so it was only 54 days between Wife #2 and Katie, but still I don't see any wedding bands on their fingers. They look good in plaid though!
