My brother has a vacation property on Lake Huron, his neighbor called saying a tree fell over the property line. I told him I’d meet him up there to help clean it up. While I was there I figured I may as well load the trailer too. My dad, brother and I took down a bunch of smaller Ash trees and we cleaned up some that already hit the ground. We didn’t get them all but you gotta start somewhere.

I’m happy to put Ash in the stacks, my favorite firewood and not many good ones around here locally anymore.

Wife and kids kept me feed while I ran the splitter today!

    Nice score!!

I love splitting Ash, it is probably the easiest splitting wood I've worked with in my rather short woodsplitting days. I also have an abundance of it on our property, as well as maples.

The one thing I lack is an abundance of Oak unfortunately. But I do have a fair amount of Hickory, and some crabapple for the grill/smoker. :dex:

That'll refill any empty stacks for sure.

That trailer has seen a thing or two.

Awesome! I love splitting Ash too, it splits so easily I like to keep it aside and split it by hand instead of using the splitter. Just swing the Fiskars and it knocks right apart!

rdust it is hard to believe just how fast those kids of yours are growing! One of these days Judy and I will have to visit before they are off to college! At the rate they are growing, it won't be long now!

Good on you for getting that ash.
