Picked up a Stihl 660 for $650. I think it was a pretty fair deal, she's no shelf queen, but she's a runner. Previous owner had his dealer put in new P&C. I put 2 tanks through and she runs strong! I'm presently surprised I didn't really notice the additional weight compared to my 461. I think it just balanced better with s 28" bar. I intended to run a 36" bar, but for now I'm just going to put on a 32" that I already have and put a shorter bar on my 461. It does need the rubber gromet that covers the carb adjust, and a chip deflected... Any suggestions on best place to get it is appropriated
Thanks #Armbru84 I'm going to check with my local dealer, just for convince, but they are hit or miss with older parts. I'll let you know if I'm interested!
That's awesome. I bet a with a little clean up it will look a heck of a lot better. I got a carb grommet for my 064 on ebay from china. I'd get the chip deflector off ebay too. That stuff at the dealer will be pricey. Carburetor Tuning Grommet For STIHL MS660 066 064 MS650 Chainsaw 1122 123 7503 | eBay
Madsen's is a GREAT place to get Stihl, Pro Saw parts. They are great with the shipping and totally knowledgeable about the saws inside out. They're in Washington and have always maintained themselves as something of a one stop shop for timber fallers. Looks like a good saw. Congrats !! (360) 736-1336
