Took the truck into the shop this morning for 8 am and had their shuttle service bring me back home. drew back all the drapes and shades to take advantage of the sunshine - plus to aid in counting birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count for Cornell. Spent a couple hours cleaning the birds' cages, then spent a couple more cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, laundry etc. Used the car to go to the dump then finally the shop called about 2:30 and the shuttle picked me up so I could retrieve the truck.

Filled both stove hoppers - haven't added pellets since Thursday so that means I'm going thru a lot less pellets. Wrote up the meeting minuts from LOH Thursday night and got them sent out to the Chapter.

All in all, a productive but calm and soothing day.

Thanks man. Really doesnt hurt and I just have to be careful of the graft for a few more days. Just hope the chit works.

But if I am going to fall into the small minority, why cant it be the small percentage that wins the dam lottery !!

Issue is that the abutment isnt seating in the implant. Surgeon cleaned the hell out of it hoping something was in there blocking it, but nope. Xray still shows it not seating all the way

Sounds like something out of Marathon Man but like I said, I didnt feel a thing. This was last Tuesday and I went back to work when he was done. I was more surprised an unprepared for what he was doing. Doc offered to do it another time but I figured why wait-just do it. the anticipation is really worse than the procedure so its probably better i couldn't think about it in advance.

I will say, I dont know what he uses to numb the area but it is way better than what the dentist uses-I felt nothing and he was cranking in there at times!

    Hi wildwest,

I bought the "official" silicone from SBI/Drolet that game with a gasket kit from them, and it worked well. It's red, so given the temp specs, I'd think this one from Permatex may be the same stuff? Next time I need some, I'll likely try this:

I hear you about the Eco-65 not being perfect. Probably my biggest gripe is that the design only allows for a relatively small ash bin for such a big-heat stove (our Harman P-61 could go several more days than the Eco-65 between cleanings with a nice big ash bin). Also, cleaning this stove is more time-consuming than our old stove, with more nooks and crannies in the exhaust chambers. But it's been very reliable (knock on wood!) and it heats two floors instead of one for us (about 2400 sq ft total).

The scotch tape sounded brilliant to me (that's my M.O. too)!

    Hi Pallet Pate (and all),

Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here! I have enjoyed reading for a while here (and learned a lot). And sorry for the similar handle! I'll have to change it to avoid confusion. Way back when I first signed up for this forum, I just quickly picked a member name, but if it's possible I'd be happy to change to a different one.

    Thanks again,

    Pete

Did you see that they upped the snow fall prediction. Went from 3 inches to 6. :hair: But, there is another prediction I am hoping they won't change. Nest week might make it up to 70 F.:dennis:

I swear I leave my hand imprints on the arms of those dental chairs when they start digging in my mouth. Lucky for me, I haven't had any work done, other than the scheduled cleanings, for several years. I told my dentist, no fluoride treatments, no preventative x rays, and the cleanings will be once a year. I think he moved on to someone else for funding his 401K. They hygienist says all is well when she cleans, and the dental exam goes without finding anything of concern. Just tells me my fillings are wearing and may need to be replaced sometime.

I don't mind anything, cutting, cleaning, polishing, probing, whatever....but....When I hear a drill all bets are off. I need to resched an appt to get both top and bottom front teeth repaired from grinding, the dentist mentioned it was my choice to get shots or not and, well....I have yet to reschedule.

I'm still at a loss as what to use to seat new gaskets. I think both are called cement, but the last time I was going to do it the clerk at the store sold me some stuff that gets very hard, it could almost be used for repairing chimneys. I ended up taking the door to my dealer and had them do it. I want a silicone that won't harden and stay flexible so the gasket can be replaced easier down the road.

I am on my 2nd gasket and its due for replacing in the off season. The original came off pretty easy, I will see how this one comes off. I am pretty sure I used a Rutland product but dont remember for sure.

Snowing here. Was an easy week for pellets. 6 bags until I crack open the last ton.

Ordering some gaskets for a big clean I will need to do on the exhaust.
