What in the hell was I and that guy thinking? Heavy as crap and no way it was gonna balance on the ice under the snow. The big girl was just shaking her head at me.
I can’t imagine the engine will run for very long like that. The only question is what would kill it first? The oil? Carb float/needle valve? Fuel tank leaking/not venting? Maybe Loon can test and let us know!
How would you like to find one of your old CL ads in an online forum, the butt of many jokes, and at that moment also realize that PITA splitter you sold was only a PITA to use because you were doing it wrong!
I wonder if that guy knows there is an entire Internet forum across the whole country and even world having a good laugh at that. Probably hasn’t the slightest idea whatsoever. Maybe someone should write him and thank him for the good laugh...
It occurs to me that perhaps the designer never intended this particular machine to be operated vertically. Probably there are some cars that would stand on end (perh. SUVs with very vertical tailgates), but that wouldn't mean they were meant to go that way (though it could save space in the driveway). [Edit: Duh, I see everyone's come to that conclusion long ago - I should read all the recent posts before breaking into print]
