Moved into my mothers home. She has 2 pellet stoves. One is a American Harvest model 6039 (not sure if it is a 6039 or 6039T as it is not marked on the tag).
Problem is the agitator (after looking at the owners manual online for a long time I believe that is the name) does not turn. The auger turns fine, but where the pellets burn does not turn. I can hear a sound from the motor area, but no turning. The result is piled up ashes at times, other times it is fine.
    Any advice would be helpful.

Before asking, yes the entire system has been cleaned including the chimney and all piping. I vacuum it out completely 1-2 times a week including opening the doors in the back.

Is there a pin between the motor and the agitator ? Should be. Look up the owners manual at US Stoves website. 6039 or6039t shouldn't matter to much. I think difference was the legs, rest is the same.

    Welcome Elainea Goldthwaithe :handshake:
Not familiar with your stove but what Doggy mentioned is a first step to check:yes:
Looking around inside the stove you might pick up some clues why it doesn't work;)

You should be able to pull the left side cover off and see whats up. I think there was a shaft in the motor with a key way or pin in it. This will be on the motor side. There was a big pin on the agitator side that would keep the shaft and agitator together yet allow you to pull pin to remove agitator and then burn pot. If you hear noise from motor (turns every few seconds) maybe shaft/motor is stripped or key way fell out. Or big pin is missing and shaft is turning but not aligned with agitator.

Looks like a short shaft from the motor, that has a pin connecting to the motor shaft. Then there is a clip attaching the agitator to that short shaft inside the left side of the firebox. If the clip inside the firebox is there, then I'm guessing the other pin at the motor shaft is missing, or motor gears are stripped. You may have to remove the left side panel to access it.

BTW, welcome to the forum Elainea Goldthwaite :handshake:
