Will look just like this but a painted strip instead of a tape one. No more pited and cracked factory paint. Serface rust spot gone. 1985 Buick LaSabre Limited collectors edtion the last year for rear wheel drive.

Dodge Cornet was done 5 years ago. I wanted one of these so bad I ordered a new 65, got drafted before it came in so cancled the order.
When I was with in a couple weeks of coming home from VN my dad put a deposit on a silver 66 for me. But once home the dealer gave me some crap and tried to sell me a left over 67 Polar.

We went all over the place to find some one to paint the car. Had one fellow who said he would do it and gave us a quote we could live with but was busy at the time said he would call us about August. It is now nearing the end of Jan 2018 and he still hasn't called or returned my call wondering if he would be ready for the car in Sept even.

Dave came with a lot of recommadations and had the work out there at car shows to back it up.
Work has a live time warrenty to not crack blister peel or any other paint failure.

Thank you for the comment and intrest.

Looks cool. Was the body sanded or did you get it blasted? Just curious...I'm a foreman of a blast and paint shop and I do a lot of plastic media blasting which is ideal for car bodies.

Was sanded, to bare metal. Under what you see is an epoxy seal primer and it also seen in the dark spots are high spots that are showing up in the block sanding.

Went and got our Buick Good Friday from the paint shop. the narrow BSM's were out of stock and kept getting back ordered. So we bacily let Dave store it for us.

Took the Buick to Kares moms house today. It has a paved drive on a black top road. Our road is gravel and it rained yesterday, our drive way is even worst than the road.

    The grill and shiny hood.

Hopeing it freezes tonight solid enough to get it home. Engine compartment was cleaned but not detailed so I need to do that. trunk was also cleaned but not detailed so I will do that and put the carpet back in.

Also need to do some thing to some chrome blemishes on the wheels, Dave suggested beauty rings. Pricey things when I looked them up.
I think I am going to buy a couple stripeing brushes and lay a stripe over the blemishes.

Finally got a spring like day yesterday high was 71F. I took the time to do some detailing under the hood. Dave's people had cleaned it up but not as good as I had it when they got it in Oct.
sprayed simple green and allowed to set for a bit them misted it with water and used my brushes to scrub it. then rinced again. All the hoses and other rubber parts got a shot of tire shine and rubbed down, black plastic got a coat of mothers detailing wax. still need to do a bit more.

I wanted to get to the trunk so vacumed that out, washed every thing else down and coated with Mothers detailing wax then reinstalled the trunk mat. Now I was able to place all our stored show thing back in there the sun canopy, the weights that hold it in the wind, our chairs and the milk crate (till I build some thing nicer.) with all the polishes waxes and window cleaners and Rain X.

Now we have a 3 day storm starting with rain going to freezing rain and then snow. Hope it all clears up next week I want the 21st of April to be our first show of 2018 in Midland.
