Santawifey got it for me for Christmas. Its a Accu rite 5 in 1 pro+ model 06014 With optional lightning detector. I haven't figured it all out yet, I think I need to calibrate the wind speed as the blizzard max speed was 22 mph and since I was out in it it sure felt like it was more than 22 mph. Here is a pic of the screen and pic of me at work I found. 20180107_150244.jpg 20171212_143223_001.jpg

No obstructions around the sensor and at least 5 feet above the ground and level for it to give proper readings.

Ya I like em too. I bought a set of SRX for my Silverado 1500 4x4 and so far they have been nice. Kid and santa bought a set of cs3 touring tires for his 13' Malibu. I have bought several sets of those and the cs5 over the years for our and families vehicles.

Oh yea, we are over the stomach bug, younger son still a bit weak. Been so cold that house is shut tight and we need a bit of a break to open doors and let the kooties out of the house. Older sons family started the whole thing and he is the only one to dodge it. No sense in taking any chances of him getting it and having to miss work while he is on probation.

Its about 12-14" above the ground. I mounted it on a 18' piece of 3/4 pvc on the peak of our shed in the back yard. The bubble level is on top of the unit so I'm not certain it perfectly level. When it warms a bit the boy and I will look into it.

Upper loft roof (14x28) and front porch roof (10x40), 1"/12 pitch. 20+" of snow. My back is feeling it already. :picard:
Glad I saved that $20 for Beer. And a bottle of Ibuprofen. Gotta check the roof harness gear, and the Health Insurance.

And possibly ending as ice.....Bastards have been toying with us all season. Forecast starts as nothing, 1-3 and ends as 8-10, or snow then rain/ice or blizzards........

Well we are going to get some warmer temps prior so hopefully melting happens to alleviate. I'm not going to sweat it much yet. Front roof is pitched, back roof dormered with less pitch but not flat. Garage has the most snow and it is pitched both sides.

Hate to be bearer but north and west are most vulnerable to the ice chit on this one. But dont worry, by the end of the week we all will be in the ice zone. One big happy family with backaches :D

Do it early before the rain so the fluffy sn*w will cushion the blow :pain:

I'll have to make some attempt, went out to clear off the '01 Intrigue and '96 Camry today, 14+ " of -packed- snow on them, roofs have gotta be the same. Gonna check the roof harness & ropes tonight, snow rake the front porch in the a.m. to clear a path -> up to the top roof, grab the ladder and get up there w/ a shovel.. It's a hellavalot easier shoveling off the roof, vs. pulling off the roof w/ the snow rake.

I may hoist the small paddle 1-stage sn*wblower up there, if safe to do so. Every time I do this it's a 3-4 hour job, each roof. This is gonna suck.

Better safe than sorry especially with you on the mountain and cooler temps

But 45 degrees and a day of rain would eat up a lot of snow up there especially of we get the 45 degree day on Thursday as well. Now of it turns into 35 and rain then.........
