I went to pick up some ‘Crete’s at BT, Crete’s are back! Eagles only available as singles.. Canadian softy.. What’s the word?? Ray
Rare to see them in their own brand bag around here these days, they are a heavily re-bagged product. Same product you will find in a bag of NW Super Spruce, Orford Softies, or the vintage Okanagan Platinums that are being sold off at various local places lately - for example, Robbins is selling those Okie Plats for $252/ton right now.
I just posted in another thread the eagles are much lighter / blonder that the oakie plays I started this season with. ***i purchased the oakie plats on 11/13/17 at BT. Today I threw down on a ton of my beloved ‘Crete’s. NWSS - was awesome pellet to, I was working out of my ‘hood grabbed a half dozen at CT in early November.. if CT was as close as BT I’d have popped on a few tons.. - plus the guy at CT was so much friendlier & a pleasure (as pleasurable as it can be to part with benjis ) to hand cash to. I’m going back to BT today to chop away at my ton of Crete’s. I pop on a couple single eagles for the hell of it. Ray
Full Disclosure....Eagle Valley were NEVER an Okanagan Platinum supplier of the old "Okies".... I have that on first hand information....
What was in the vintage Okie Plat bags that were in impound all this time and are just now being sold off to the local dealers?
Again, I feel sorry for you folks back east. You pay highway robbery for quality softwood pellets disguised with various marketing tricks and bag colors.
I had a chance to get a ton of those for $195 and passed... mainly because it was a medley. Eagle Valley Fuel Pellets - Our Product Pine, Fir, and Spruce
Toasted probably 3-4 tons of them last year and loved them, hot burning low ash same bag. For some reason the guy i bought them from last year cant get them but has them re-bagged as NW super spruce just a bit more expensive.Decided to give LaCrete another shot as the first experience was not a good one but glad I did as they remind me of the eagle valleys and them some.
Luney, glad to hear you are having a better go with the LaCretes the second time around. If you ever see any North Country you should grab some and give them a try too.
Only 2 minutes away from my house (by car) I can get the North Country a bit expensive but at this time in the season what is not. Actually $300 a ton only $20 more than the Cretes Thanks TT
My memory is pickled, . Is north country the black bear bag with cubex inside?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
