It's never happened in my lifetime so I guess we're due. Regardless if we do or don't I'll be breaking out the oak next week looks like. This is what we call cold down here

I wish you luck. I am 600miles north and our chances are nil. High probability of Mud. Again. So warm last few days its depressing for us fire stokers!

We've had about 5" of snow on the ground for the past 10 days, down to 3" now. We are usually a 50% chance of a white Christmas. Looks good for this year. A little further north, a lot more snow.

I hope you get your white Christmas as well! I grew up in Vancouver BC and rarely was there a white Christmas but it happens once in awhile. Living in the BC Rockies where Ive been for many moons now its pretty much a given as you could imagine. Ill be heading to the coast for a green Christmas this year but thats ok. Im looking forward to some salty air on the islands for a change!

Used to get white Christmases all the time here in PA, seems that's a distant memory now.....always hoping.

We had 5" on the ground for the past week, that warmup last evening took it almost all away. But, it's still Christmas, and I'll be celebrating.

Chances of a white Christmas are slim to none here. But Sean I think Vancouver is getting snow today!

slim to none here as well.
50ºF today and rain forecast for the weekend

The snow cover we had is about gone. It's melting fast.

Great to have a couple of inches of fresh snow if Santa brings a sled or snow shoes or even boots for Christmas.

I have been watching the weather and we will have a White Christmas here. Expecting 5 to 7 inches between Friday and Sunday.

rebelduckman that sounds pretty warm to expect a white Christmas but we're hoping for one for you.

Our foot of snow really took a big hit yesterday and today. It's in the low 40's now and mud is showing.

The snow packed down but it didn't melt away. So we will have a white Christmas.

It's a different cold down here than up north. Chills you to the bone cause of the humidity. I was up in North Dakota once and it was in the single digits. It felt about the same as when it's in the 30's here to me.

You got that right! Folks ask me why in the hill I moved "up here" to this cold. I give them just about your exact words.

Yeah for sure. I dont know if you know BC Canadain weather but in the lower mainland which is roughly known as Vancouver you can have 1c with 99% humidity and then drive to the eastern part of the province 13 hours away and have -25c with a very low humidity. Ive framed houses in Vancouver in weather just above freezing and it can be brutal. Ill take colder than a witches it any day over windy and rainy weather just above freezing.

I remember many moons ago talking to a Yooper and was surprised when he told me the coldest winter he ever lived through was in Detroit. Trouble is, too much thawing in Detroit so that brings on slush and damp conditions. Stay below freezing and it is better.

Always, Warm ups bring mud and ruts. Snow that freezes like cement after partially melting and icy trails. Light fluffy powder rules.
