Unplug stove. Pull control box and reseat it. It could have worked loose, and then cause issues. Also make sure the thermocouple is touching the inside of the cover. Yes it is ceramic and fragile. It should also be sticking in the pot at least an inch. And if hopper is empty, auger shouldn't run as there is no vacuum in firebox. You need to jump vac switch wires without shorting out on stove, to bypass vacuum. And if you had it empty, it will take a while to fill auger tube back up, before fuel starts dropping down chute. Try these things and let us know how it goes. We can procede from there then, as it is a process of elimination. kap

So-- my auger was reversing, I put in my old auger that is noisy as hell & I'm back in the game.. the auger I pulled tonight had a toasted capictor ,I don't what fried it & oil was leaking from auger motor .. so new auger motor getting ordered (I have a compulsion to write dates on things I install , auger from 11/2015 kinda sux)

So now stove is operatjng but noisy auger.. I have a new control box coming, part of me is wanting to send it back.. other part install it, as I don't have my blue power up light & that whole Murphy law thing....

I'll check back in with everybody & thank you all.. and a smoking hot special thanks to badbob for putting his arm around this.. thanks buddy

You can get a capacitor jumper that will fix that auger motor for around 20.00. kap

Link please? I can't find.. do I leave the dead capictor in line or snip it off and put the jumper between the two connections?

Leave it in line. The capacitor fits in line with white molex connectors. Just google quad parts and places will come up. Then just pick one and type in capacitor jumper and it should bring up a pic of it. kap
