It took us quite a few years to save up for this, it's been a longtime dream.

And another good time is when someone's hankering for a slice of that great looking pizza, but alas, no wood to fire it. Welcome Valleyman from your New England neighbor to the north, there has been quite a few folks from around these parts joining lately. Look forward to meeting you someday, maybe over a..........slice of pizza.   :handshake:

Thank you. Good to meet you. I am a Pats fan! But in CT you never know; there are tons of Giants fans.

Everything here is always budget. We built a hydraulic ram pump following internet instructions for a third world country. Works great and we can wait with drilling a well.
It'll be great when you get it all done.

I made it out of an antique Speed Queen wringer washer from the 1950s. They had stainless tubs in them the one year of production.

We TIG welded a stainless patch over the agitator hole in the bottom, it works great. Cook corn in that kettle all the time during summer too!

Yes, I know I'm an old timer now. However, the next young git who calls me "my Dear" will go home with a black eye :pain:.
What i really meant is that i enjoy a lot of things my grandmother used to do and taught me. Also a lot of the things that"ladies" (something i was supposed to grow up into ) wouldn't think of doing.
It's only been a year since I climbed up a tree so I could get a better view.
Cooking over outdoor fires is great but i can't find the right equipment. It's all too small and flimsy and can't handle the heat. I've been looking for a big grill that can be put over rocks without ending up warped.

I made all my firepit grills as well, Lucy. For the exact same reason.

Sure, would love to share. NH- freakin love your state. Climbed several of the 4000 footers back in the day. More recently, I became aquainted with Ben, owner of Bens Maple Syrup.
