MAPP gas is great when you need some serious Heat for steel or a rusty bolt or something.
I picked up a new tank of it when I got the other stuff.
It is overkill for lighting a stove though and over double the price

I keep the tall blue bottles with a piezo-pushbutton torch head in my soldering kit. At the shop at work, we have to use a green Coleman® bottle with a simple torch and a flint striker to light the woodstove—anything else would get stolen!
At home I just use the long bbq lighters for the woodstove.

I used to use carry a small Map/Oxy torch in my work van when I was a tech. That thing was AWESOME! I used it for burning lead connections on batteries, but it also got quite a workout heating bolts and such on my trucks. It was a bit slower than a large torch, but it did the job. It came with a cutting head, but I never used it. Wish I still had that thing! I need to convince my service manager to replace one of his techs kits and to let me dispose of the old one. They arent cheap.
