    To knock the chill off.
53 degrees now and going down to 38 tonight. Never got above 61 this afternoon so the house was chilly all day.
Julie cleaned out the stove room and i cleaned up the stove and brushed the flue connection. Got some chairs out, a little carpet and dog beds.
Fired it up after supper. Feels nice!

    Started with some kiln dried

Just threw in a few more chunks of kiln dried, 3 nice pieces of oak, and a stink bug...:hair:

Should have some nice secondaries shortly

It got a little warmer today down here.
But I'm probably going to start a little fire in the furnace here after a bit.

This morning I threw half a bucket of just random trash that had been laying around my splitting area into the stove...some broken pallet pieces, a lot of bark chunks...had let it lay in that 90+ degree sun the last few weeks...was real dry! Anyways, not much real wood there really...but enough to get 600* STT, raised the house 5*...almost got too warm!

Right on Tim! We had a fire 2 mornings in a row now and last night I put 3 really tiny pieces in. There were still enough coals to light them off so the house did not get that cold overnight after that little fire.

It's starting to get warmer down here now so I am going the other way. I will still be having a fire at night for another month but won't need them during the day much.
