This Winter has been ridiculous, -20 this morning and I don't think we even got above 0 yesterday. Average high is suppose to be 35. Local weather man said this year ties the coldest Winter on record. I broke down and turned the furnace on, cranked it to 75 for an hour. The woodstove is keeping up but it needs a break. If this is global warming I'd rather see another ice age!

15 degrees here and two inches of ice on the ground. It rained probably two inches before the front came through and then started sleeting. guess it's better than freezing rain, that's some terrible stuff. this is very uncommon for Arkansas in march.

18F here right now. Looking to be 5F overnight. I may have to build a bigger woodshed if this is the new normal.

We have had 57 days below zero this Winter, average temp Dec-Feb was 7 degrees. I hope this is just a fluke and not the new normal.

I hate this deep cold. It is going to continue until that dumb vortex or what ever in he!! it is goes back to where it came from. Thing is, it, or whatever it is, always does go away, and we always get out he lawn mower, and swat blackflies and mosquitoes. Can hardly wait to build an outdoor fire in the pit.

I've been fine with the keeping the house warm part of it. I'm sick of working in it. Actually, the cold isn't so bad, as I deliver food and stuff. The reefer unit on the trailer will blow heat as well cold air, whatever is necessary to maintain 36°. Sometimes the freezer zone blows heat too, and it is set at 0 o_O

I've had my fill of snow. Driving in it, working in it, plowing, shoveling, blah blah blah. I'm running out of room to plow it at home. All of my customer lots have shrunk, a lot. I have three places I have to back in now, though one had melted to the point I could probably drive in like normal. But that was Saturday, before the latest snowfall  . I've had to stay at a different hotel, because the dumb@sses plow snow into the entrance, and I can't swing wide enough to get my trailer in. I have had to layover an extra day twice, and I have been stuck in the hotel lot for an extra seven hours. Last weekend I woke up sick, delivered one stop, and went back to my hotel and took another ten hours off.

So yeah, I'm done. I'm ready for 95 and A/C.

    Just hang on.
Couple more days, and we're back into the 20's or more daytime.

I got a little ticked at Mom yesterday. She watches the weather report like a hawk, then moans and groans about the cold and snow.
I told her to turn the darn channel and enjoy the 72° inside temp.
It's different if you have to be out in it.

To the contrary, I have found the forecasting to be pretty spot on for the areas that affect me. Though the last snowfall was underestimated by about 400%.

Yet again, we were forecast for a low of -10 last night.
    I woke to -16.
    Spot on.....not. Maybe it's me.:p
We're in a little bit of a low area, and our temps are almost always lower than forecast.......so there's that.:)
Hmmm. 400% is just a wee bit not-spot on too.
Gotta' remember one thing........it's still winter. A really cold one.
When it stays above 0° overnight, I can keep the DV heater off, and use less and less wood.
    Spring is r i g h t t h e r e. I can see it.

IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE 50 DEGREES NOT 17! We are 33 degrees off our normal average highs.

One rack of Cherry that we had planned on burning this year is left, .61 of a cord, then if we need more I'll dip into next years shoulder season wood.

It's another year of the oil truck not making it up the driveway.
