Ever! I spied this uprooted red oak a few weeks ago and got it bucked. (362 with 20" bar) Finally started splitting it today. This stuff is the nicest, straightest wood I've ever cut.
That's some purdy kindlin' for sure. Especially those pieces from that Checker Board tree! I hear they are very rare trees!!
Checkerboard tree?! PFFFT! Y'all are silly...those are actually from chessboard trees...or scientific name...CHESSnut trees!
Those are the kind of rounds that fall into 8-10 pieces if you wave a Fiskars over it...also, good way to impress the wife if she is watching...
