Hej hej all, After hauling a lot of free trees to my yard ( not finised with that ) i started splitting and this is the result of 2 long days of work! Getting the feeling i am on the way towards my 3 year plan. Now its time for a beer on the porch. Have a nice day all.
Always nice to sit back and observe the fruits of your efforts. Always a good sense of accomplishment! What do you guess on the amount there? 3 cords?
Sorry but i dont know how much a cord is ( europe here, so whe use the metric system) i thinks it is about 12 kuub, thats around the volume i need for a year.
ok - In the US, a full cord is 4feet wide x 4feet high x 8feet long, when stacked. In Metric, it looks like it would be about 1.2meters x 1.2meters x 2.4meters.
Duvekot you have done some very fine work. You deserve a beer or two after that. Do you ever share a beer with your furry friends? Most dogs love beer.
You don't know cords. I don't know kuubs. ~smile~ I try to learn at least one new thing a day. Today, I learned that I haven't got a clue what kuub is. LOL Darned if I can't find anything that mentions it.
Nice Looks like mostly birch with a few spruce thrown in ? Metric firewood measure, akaa Stere: How do you say/spell "Cube" in Sweden ? " Kuub " for cubic meter ??? ???
I am so tired my first thought was good lord thats a big dog then I saw it wasn't a hydrolic splitter it is electric! Either way nice stack..
A cord to cubic meter converter- Convert cord [firewood] to cubic meter - Conversion of Measurement Units
Hej hej all, Good morning, i borrowed the splitter from my neighboor. Its a home brand " blitema" this is a nice store here in sweden selling all kinds of chit for good prices. (Www.biltema.se) i can walk around there for hours. Getting some food now and starting the day with..... yeah sawing and splitting. Have a nice day all!
Apparently after some careful reading, a KUUB stands for uncut wood. Like a solid tree. Whereas the stere is like wood blocks. They differ for the airspace in a stere where a kuub has none. So with that being said its best said as a Stere because this isn't completely solid wood.
