Bitter sweet day for sure-can't say enough about the new saw, power to spare. Put two tanks of fuel through her and the responsiveness of the 261 C-M unlike anything I'm accustomed to, it's a love affair in the making. Had to adjust the oiler, factory setting was minimal at best. Did pull on it more than expected between shut downs a couple times but as I understand it thats a part of the M-Tronic carb getting regulated-Down side, I think either one of two tears in my rotator cuff snapped or the labrum tore more-IDK, but I think I'm done for awhile-Thank God for the 3 yr plan... Yeah buddy I had the L side repaired 9 yrs ago and it was very painful, doc says advances in technique make it less so now but I remember it well-23 yrs of baseball and softball did the most damage I guess-I pitched for a number of years-that and getting older are the main culprits...but I'm not complaining, it is what it is and others are way worse off than I and I thank our Maker everyday for letting my feet hit the floor-Pain is just weakness leaving the body right? I trust this finds you and all well.

Did also add another tool to the arsenal today though-Notice in the pic a small pry bar/nail puller---it will slice off loosening bark like peeling an onion...It is way better than getting your gloves wet and nasty on downed trees that arent punky but still have just tacky enough bark to require effort to remove--Pic not the best but I will keep it in the tool box for just such trees-this ash had been down 2 yrs but solid as a rock and keeps my processing area cleaner here at home leaving it in the woods IMG_5125.JPG

That sounds like a great idea with the pry bar/nail puller for getting bark off. I'll give that a try.

    Good luck on the shoulder.

Nice work Ashwatcher and way to work thru the pain.... Maybe you could drill a hole in that recoil cover and insert a Li powered drill/ impact with a chucked up socket for the quick jump start?

Sorry to hear5 about your injury. Heal up fast.

I like that bark peeler. I have seen vids of people using other tools but that looks handy and is something I already have.

    Nice saw & pics

Give your shoulder time to heal,
    Therapy speeds it up but
It takes longer than you think

    Morels out yet ?
    Go pick mushrooms :)

Or maybe just to slow down when reading words like labrum....?
Thought them Latin words ended in "-ia" instead "-rum" :wacky:

Ugh, its the glenoid...but I see what you did there,, Woodsnwoods and I may attempt to drill a hole in the joint and insert a Li to jump start the arm and keep working, not ready to just take photos at this time-the saws not that bad and again understand it all related to the M-tronic adjusting to atmospheric conditions/fuel intake, etc-I dont see as a problem yet-other have said wait til you run 15-20 tanks through her-I hope to be that lucky this season...Thx to all well wishers, been packing in ice and relying on some medicinals...and a lil Pinot Grigio...
