Warmed up a bit today but rained this morning until it started to rain/snow then just snow and then it cleared up and the colder air came in but not windy so thankful. Did not drop too bad so think this is the end of da cold, expected 26* tonight which is good and warmer through out the week. Good thing cause im about out of pellets again.......
Tried to call the fence company that HL007 graciously shared but their spring hours (Sat's) do not start until the 31st DOH

Snowed most of the day yesterday. Fortunately it mostly melted on streets. Did get some sticking on pathways and the existing snow in the yard, but not too much. High was 37* and it was gloomy all day. Got down to 21* last night. Finally have some sun this morning so have opened the drapes to capitalize on a bit of solar warming.

Not until Wed or Thurs up here. Freezing rain a possibility for tomorrows commute  but then changing to rain which will further help the drought :).

Thanks for looking out B, appreciated.

It's been a wild few weeks since I last posted, last week was a 36 hr. marathon Tues./Wed. between clearing snow from the storm & getting youngest to Boston Logan for her early am flight to Japan. All went well, she's at Waseda University now doing orientation before classes start this week / getting settled / exploring Toyko with other exchange students in the program.. She's very excited to be there.

This week was a 23 hr. marathon Fri./Sat. bringing the oldest to a concert at the Prudential Center in Newark NJ, stopping along the way in Long Island to pickup a friend en-route. Band only comes to the US every 4-5 years, was her Birthday gift w/ the 'chauffeur' service. She's on her final semester at Keene State - anything to keep her positive & motivated, for graduation in May..

I feel like Mad Max at the end of the 'Road Warrior' movies right now. Hate to admit it, but I'm starting to get too old for these marathon trips.. Takes more than a few days to recover from them now. Sigh.

Throw in lots of work, and that's been all that's going on here.. Trudging along here, trying to catch up on sleep whenever I can.

Still cold at night, still snow in the yard, w/ a few more inches of white stuff on the driveway from yesterday. Yay.. The yard was clear a few weeks ago, maybe by mid-April this time around.

Pellet stove is still running pretty much every day, with just a few hrs. break for cleaning - solar gain is getting better, hoping for some shoulder season days going forward. Stove needs a break, it's been running hard since November. Will be perusing the CL ads starting again this week.

Hope everyone is staying warm and doing well here - gotta go shovel some slush & head to work..

Have a fun day all.

My basement used to take on water , pulled the trigger on interior french drain and super sump pump a few years back $$$ , but worth it no more ruined carpets and staying up all night running floor pumps to keep the level under an inch , but it still destroyed stuff .
