The extra irony on top of the ad is the fact that if they were smart enough they would know that the electric company will come out and drop that tree for free! Because it's a serious threat to the utility lines. you just can't fix stupid!
I have contacted my local electric coop to have a tree taken down because it was a hazard to the lines going to my house. They would rather deal with matters like that during regular business hours rather than at night, on a weekend and during a storm.
Yup. When I cleared right of way for the power co. My directive was to prioritize calls like that. It costs way less to take em down before they take down the lines.
This one looks pretty good... Being Saturday morning, I'd be surprised if there aren't saws running outside this guy's house right now.. Anyone in the area, go get it!!!.. firewood, cord wood, fire wood
I saw that one last night. I have my daughter this morning, or I would be all over that. I may take a ride by while Im out with her, and if theres still some oak left I will make a return trip in the Bronco once mama comes home.
Thanks! If not, I'll just go pull the last load of locust from a craigslist find I've been working on.
Thanks Eric! We took a ride by in the comfort of my warm company car. All that was left of the oak was pretty big and gnarly looking. There was some Maple left, but probably 36" diameter. I can pick up all pre cut maple in more manageable sizes elsewhere. I'd take her scrounging with me, but my Bronco doesn't have a backseat, and she's only 2. Plus, if anything happened, the wood is right behind the front seats
Both actually! I put out too much cash already in the past 9 months after buying my first home. New truck is in the plans for next January I think. Its been far too long since Ive had something nice of my own to drive.
Boy, do I know how that feels. Trading off for a truck sometime in the next 24 mos. Then I'll have my full hoard on! For now I'm in semi-hoard mode, side-eyin' every dead or downed tree in my periphery...
I can fit a crap ton of wood in the Bronco, but I have to play wood tetris to make sure that the trip is worth it. I almost just gave up when it it died in the middle of my back yard an hour ago....but it turned out to just be a bad ground.
