Mackinac Bridge Ice - Aerial from I-75, Mackinaw City, MI 49701, USA This is a nice picture of the Mackinaw Bridge across the Straits of Mackinaw. The nice part is you can adjust the picture using the mouse and can also get a nice 360 degree view. Not much ice in the Strait there so I don't know when the picture was taken.
I happened to sky dive over that area after the polar vortex. It was pretty cool to see the bridge, ice, and lakeshore frozen. Great place to spend some time.
You can see that they stitched several pictures together. In this screenshot you can see the same group of 3 vehicles twice. The dark vehicle is passing the silver one and the white truck with the trailer has changed lanes. The pictures must have been taken about 3-4 seconds apart (assuming of course normal highway speeds). Thanks for sharing Sav!!
A long way blacksmith A bit over 300 miles for one and a bit under 250 for the other. Both are south of the bridge but good roads either way. Michigan does not get pretty much until you get to the northern part.
