Finally a decent enough day with early frozen ground to get out and cut a lil bit-felt great and my cousin who's clearing the pasture land was out with a friend harvesting trees to mill for a house he's building and his dad was out trying to burn one of many brush piles-Didnt get a full load as the ground was thawing and I got hungry-It still will fill up the rail rack and some for 18-19 stacks-all hickory except the two biggest rounds of red oak-
I know that feeling Ashwatcher ....good when you get out when it's been awhile, been a muddy one around here too.
It will definitely fill up the rail rack so I can finally cover with the 10'x10' new rubber roofing I was gifted cut to 24" wide with enough left over to cover a 10' single row stack-the rail rack is 33' long
You know sir, I am! I don't really have any shoulder season wood right now except for a 1/3 cord of cherry---I just have oak, hickory and locust...Never fear though, I have 3 big ashes lined up for bucking, been down 2 years...so next falls ash will be had....You gots to keep your eye on the ash you know? I trust this finds you well my friend...
We're good up here Ashwatcher! I find it ironic, all I got dry is shoulder wood... cherry, birches, soft maple ash and popular.. only good stuff I got sugar maple is still to wet in stack for 2019.. oh well house is warm, ground is white.. and smiling.. well not right now doing taxes every year this time threaten to move towards you... geniuses that run this state have added 10 dollars a month to my electric bill to help poor people (OK but then they tax it) want to raise gas and oil 1 a gallon in carbon tax then can't figure out why average age in state is 50 and all youngsters are leaving... sorry rant over.. not trying to be too political! but they are now taxing my previous state return as this year income I'll stop before I get in trouble!
TY Woodsnwoods It all evens out-I'm jealous of all your awesome toys...Hope this finds you well my friend...I am after another Stihl though currently...MS 261 CM...working the plan now..."Hey honey, let me ash you something..."
