I saw that article last fall. I haven't heard anymore about them or their pellets. I normally travel to northern Maine for work every year and look for oddball pellets like this but last year I was too busy to go and this year will be the same.
Naa...Just came across that article and don't remember seeing it posted before. Funny name for pellets, Haymart Hotties. I've never heard of them or remember anyone using or posting about them.
A new mill making only 5000 tons/year, so not many people on here will have access to them. . They're being sold in a small area in northern Maine. The closest they come to me is about 30 miles.
Whatever happened to that other mill that was being set up last winter? I don't remember where it was at but seems to me it was situated next to an old school (no longer used).
According to their website, a June 2016 sample tested by PFI showed an ash content of .47%, 5.16% moisture and 8362 BTU. Sholder pellet.
