Great job on the video, love the Husky in reverse sucking the chips in.

What did the finished product on the lathe end up being?

Nice work Gary. Good skills on the ground cuts too. I cut through a ground log on my bigger stihl and I was sharpening it for a long time to get its edge back.

The 3120 is a beast and sure wants to take you for a ride! Definitely not a general use saw. We're going to put a ripping chain on it for milling, it should tear it up. You should feel how it torques in your hand when you rev it up heh.

I use iMovie on my Mac, nothing fancy.

Heh, G60GTI? Did you see the videos of my highly modified VW Pickup on my youtube channel? If you follow any shows, it was even a "Top Dawg" contender at H2O international way back in 2009. Sold it last year though to make room for the Tundra but my wife loves her '15 GTI!

I'm going to have to check that out for sure. It wasn't the awd turbo vr6 pickup was it? I remember one from H20 and waterfest some years back. I was at the very first water fest when it was at Montclair state university in 98 or 99 I think, damm I'm old! I sadly sold my last vw last year also. Had a '91 16 valve g60 gti. That was my baby, had it since '96, totally regret it. Also had a 98 vortech charged vr6 gti, a '00 beater Jetta and a v8 Touareg that I leased for basically nothing because they couldn't move them off the lot. I'm constantly searching for another and will probably have one before long, looking for vr turbo mark 2's. Pretty similar vehicle path we both are on. I have a Tacoma now but am probably going to trade it in for a tundra soon, weird.

Wife bought me a GoPro last year and I have a bunch of footage and want to try my hand a making some videos.

So I watched both of your caddy videos and all I can say is WOW! What a awesome vehicle that you obviously put way more than just money into. Great job! I'm sure you miss it, I know I miss my gti.

Awesome! Indeed, building that truck was a great experience over the years, especially all the time I got to spend working on it with my Dad. I drove that truck to all of the lower 48 states and had a lot of adventures in it, when I sold it the buyer flew to me in upstate NY and drove it home to Salt Lake City Utah! Totally worth the adventure, glad the new guy likes it and I'm loving the Tundra, so it's win all around.
