I picked up this cool little stove in a barn find and I am not sure what kind of stove it is. It stands 22.5 inches tall. 20170114_130143.jpg Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any marking on it? Diffently was attached to the floor, I Googled train car stoves and most are round, might have been in a train kitchen?

Yes, it is evident that it screws to a floor insuring stability. It also has a small latch above the fire door that locks the door closed. This leads me to believe that it was used on a train or ship maybe?

I don't have any idea, but it is a neat little stove.

No other markingside except for a door casting that says "ran".

I don't think it is a coal stove due to the fire grate being so thin/light cast.

I don't know much about coal stoves, but I think that's a coal stove. That looks like a shaker grate.
Of course, even if I'm right, that doesn't tell you where it came from. Somebody else with a little more knowledge will probably be along shortly. Interesting little stove. Do you have any plans for it?

No, no plans. I have a knack for finding unique things. I could see it was definitely different. I would be willing to sell it but I would really like to know where it came from...just to satisfy my curiosity

There were a lot of old narrow gauge trains in your area. That'd be my guess for now.

I agree , that knob in the front looks like where a handle would attach to shake the grate to knock the ash down .
