As I'm clearing out the hay field, this was the next bunch to go...
For reference- that's a Stihl 036 w/16" bar sitting on the stump

image.jpg With all of them around 22" dia at the stump, guessing I will get around 4 cords out of this clump

image.jpg This was the first load out of there. The neighbor is getting his second back surgery and needed some wood for his garage. I didn't have any extra dry wood(still working on my 3 year plan) This was 2 branches above the second crotch. Nothing under 6" was cut into firewood, as that's about where the thorns started

It's honey locust. Not much of it here, but plenty of black locust Got a second truckload out today, and there is still 3 pieces plus the stump left from the first tree...

Have become a huge locust fan. Heavy but not bad to split. I'm anxious to see the BTUs in the next year or so.

It will be to the ground... Then the brush pushed on top to burn. Hopefully (fingers crossed) I don't have to grind the stump down to be able to cut hay where the stump is at now
