    Tried grits and didn't care for them.. So 2 things I won't eat are pancakes and grits lol.. So far all else is fair game..

    Did you try them plain? Add honey or butter and I love pepper too. They need to be made right....

    I did that with some of Wishlist's syrup he made last year and it was fantastic. :thumbs: That man knows how to make syrup!

    It is a very southern US food or so I discovered in my travels. Cheap, filling and mmm mmm good!

    You yankees dont know how to eat grits:p Butter salt pepper thats it none of this sweet syrup or anything like that. For lunch you can take the leftover grits and make patties and pan fry them:drool:

    They are wonderful. Its just ground corn hard to find north of the mason dixon most folks past that eat cream of wheat.

    Didn't know we are a coffee growing region? Local roaster? If this something I should know about , you need to spill it. I'm a bit of a coffee snob.

    You non-Germans do the same thing to potato pancakes. Apparently, it's a pancake, therefore it needs syrup. Yuck.
