    Was grouse hunting last week and chose not to walk under this Fir. The skinny one was the only thing holding it up and they were creaking in the wind. I hung around for about 10 minutes hoping to see it call but no luck.

    Here's some of a MASSIVE Kentucky coffee tree we took down several years back.......

    some from the ground with the sun shining through its beautiful canopy....

    And a cool silhouette shot I did on the way up the massive trunk......

    This was a huge white oak we did a while back too.....the tree was hollow almost 40' up the main trunk. And there was an antique spring trap inside the base of it. I still have that trap...

    It was an early snow that year and those 2 trees are some of the last to drop their leaves a maple and a zelkova .

    Caught this one out my door as the sun was setting. Not sure what caused it, but haven't seen anything close to this "forrest fire" look before or since that night.
