Fwiw, the Allure doesn't do a thing for me. Not a fan of the European style stoves. The Absolute isn't too bad. I don't have an issue with the look of the P series, and they throw some heat. My dream is to someday own a porcelain Classic XXV. That is a nice looking stove. Not sure it has the horsepower I need, though.

Hard to say, Jay....as you know, the XXV has already been done, maybe the Accentra F/S next? I really don't know more than that though

One last question Lousyweather The new stoves/controllers have a wireless room probe. Can they be adapted to the older stoves?

    Just curious..... TYIA

the new stoves have an OPTION for a wireless probe......its not included with the unit. I tested one last winter....they work pretty well, as long as its less than about 30'away.....and no, not backward compatible with older stoves...sorry....time to get a new Harman!

Ok so I have today off and of course I'm checking out stoves . So what's your opinion on these , which are the same company . My only concern is BTUs which is 41,000 but with constant run will this do the job on my raised ranch ?

OK. I don't know what they go for new but I just happened to notice this one out there a little while back.

    Pellet Stove; Lopi AGP

My local stove shop told me this was their most popular selling stove. I don't know anything about it, others will need to chime in. If you don't end up going with it, I would like to recommend you go with a Harman. That's what we burn and so I can tell you they are nice.

(IMO) You are asking a hell of a lot out of any stove to heat with the basement configuration. I just mention this because if you happen to get another stove there is a chance that the new one will not meet your expectations either. That's a hell of a lot of money to drop on something that you may or may not be satisfied with. I'm just trying to keep it real :D
