Any suggestions on brands and prices of skid steer wood processors? Where can I find used? I am in MN. Just starting to look around and see what's out there. Cheaper to build?
The worst part about those is there is no good way to stack the wood once it is split. It just falls on the ground and you end up making wind rows, hard to make a nice stack/pile. Unless you make some kind of hopper for a conveyor and only split over it, or stack the wood right next to where you split it.
I was thinking about trying to find an old conveyor or two at a farm auction or something to just get an old one. I really don't mind the piles. My boiler is in my pole building and I have an area that's about 60x30 to stack piles. Not a big deal since I don't have to tarp it or load boiler out in the elements. It just sucks cause the new ones that are rated at 1.5 cord/hr are like $30k Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk
