    Hi All!

Saw another thread about one of you done splitting for the year, and I thought I would post my version.

My annual goal is to have 10 cord CSS by the time the burning season starts in earnest. Finished splitting the 10th cord this weekend, and am now on "Bonus :woodsign: Time" for the rest of the fall. The following pics are of my :woodsign: hoard.

I'm also happy to report that Cord #11 has been started, that my "Uglies Box" is half fulll (that's a quarter cord by itself), that I have another quarter cord (or so) of unsplitables (at least, currently unable to get through them with maul and/or wedge - need to borrow a splitter for these). Might be able, actually to get to 12 cord by the time the end of the year. Given that we average 4 cord a year for heating, that gets me to the 3-year plan!

Oh, and one last update, FHC has inspired me to try my hand at smoker cooking next year. Toward that end, I have retained three milk crates worth of maple chunks. These are now safely stored awaiting purchase of the firebox attachment to my grill. Sounds like this should be a Christmas present for me! :grizz:

That's all then for my update from the Guru Family Homestead!

Looking good! Hitting the 3 year stash is a good feeling! Only thing I might suggest is a little more weight on those tarps. I learned that the hard way..lol..

Yeah, yer probably right. We're pretty protected from major wind, but the stacks with only the red bricks on them could probably do with some reinforcement. The stacks with the concrete paving blocks on the corners seem to be pretty secure.
