Gorgeous morning here after a couple of days of heavy rain. campinspecter is off to get firewood and we may deliver it to Mom's this afternoon before the next rain storm moves in.

I noticed my coffee was way better today also. In fact, I think it is going to get a lot better. Feel that fresh air. Wonderful isn't it!

Got my timber bids today from my sale.
I got 25% more than the quoted maximum from my forester! That's triple my minimum sale (reserve) price!

Evidently the 20+ inch dbh sugar maple market is stronger than he and I thought! That was 80% of what I sold. The rest was crap in my way of the barn I'm going to build.

I'm gonna miss all my trees (135 trees from 5 acres,) but I'm going to enjoy my new 1200Sq ft pole barn that will be 75% living quarters for very little out of pocket money.

For those that are on the fence of buying your own woodlot.......DO IT!

Weather is supposed to be awesome today, but I'm stuck in my cage.

Nice morning with the prospect of another storm coming in this afternoon. campinspecter and I are going to Mom's this morning to work on roof drains. We have had so much rain in short periods of time. Definitely we are finding where things have to be fixed.
