After watching bucks running doe's all morning i decided to sit the same stand tonight. It was the same kind of action all evening. This guy came in after a doe, pushed her out then came back. He ran 30yds and piled up. Nice way to end fall bow. So thankful for days like this.
Thanks guys, I put a good amount of time in the woods this fall so it feels good to fill the tag. He's certainly not my biggest buck but the piece of woods i got him in isn't very big and the chances of him making it through gun season are slim to none. Gonna be fresh backstrap for dinner tonight!
Congrats hope to get out this week myself. Bow season started on the 17th and I was able to arrow a nice doe that morning. Been out of action since as I hurt my back that day at work . No hunting and no wood cutting it can't get much worse .
Still trying here... literarally texted from a stand. I've actually been able to put in more seat time than usual this fall, but i always seem to be where the deer aren't. Send some of your luck my way please, once you all are tagged out. one more wek of archery before the orange army invasion.
From woods to table. Can't get no fresher than that! Sending my luck your way fellas. Any time in the woods is time well spent, just a plus coming home with one.
Thank you FHC! I finally took a deer this year. It has been terribly slow so far. But, after all the good juju from my FHC compatriots, I was able to harvest a very nice sized doe tonight. She will give me all my red meat for the next year. Whew!
Nice deer! Crazy how states seasons are so different. Our bow season is from September to February, one of the many reasons I choose to bow hunt.
