    To me it appears to be Slippery Elm, from the first picture, but I have been known to be wrong.

    Looks like it's about equal to Cherry in BTU. We have it here but I haven't burned enough to be able to comment, just a few splits mixed in here and there.

    Hackberry for sure. I've burned a lot of it. Burns OK, takes a while to dry and can be tough to split. One thing is absolutely certain - it will make BTU's
