Crown repair

    ordered some roof rx brushable crown repair last week and it arrived over the weekend. I was able to get up on the roof this afternoon and apply it. Not a bad product. image.jpg

    Is it mortar/portland based? Comes in a can?
    Does it go over everything as is or do you have to do any repairs first??

    i used "crown coat" looks like that....its rubber wont shrink or crack,very happy with it,been on about 5 years

    No, I forgot to take a before pic. it wasn't horrible but there were some small cracks.

    I wanted to use that stuff, but thought the old was too far gone, so remade it with a waterproof mortar product. Secret is use liquid latex, and I had some leftover from something so I did. It has really held up nice .
    Got the idea watching this crazy dude...

    I'm trying to post pics from my Android gadget (first try)
    I made a summer chimney cover by cutting a plastic bucket, then painted with special paint.
    First shot shows bucket with paint. 2 is the liner wrapped in plastic. 3 is how it looks installed. 4 is how it looks with cap back on for winter, along with the waterproofing stuff I've been using.
    Did the summerizing last May,
    . Just changed it back yesterday.

    Yes crown coat is good stuff, still rocking happy as could be on my mothers brick chase after 6 years.
