better than drying on top of the stove i guess....:hair:

unless you dry it in front of the stove first...
You know...bring it in a couple days before you burn it...;)

That poor stove had no muscle at all.

The guy had some good basic pointers, he touched on enough that a newbie might understand.

It is really a shame you can't delete videos off youtube when they are junk.

And if his wood is at 12% moisture, then I wonder why he has to dry it beside the stove? In addition, I'm not sure where he lives but the wood in that area soaks up the humidity a lot.... Right.

He seemed to have a vague understanding of the basics, but that wood wasn't at 12-14%. At least he understood it should be dry, but didn't seem to understand that what he had .....wasn't. His CTCs were lacking. The stove leaked air.
    I'll stop now.
For sure Dennis, if his firewood is that dry, absolutely no need for all his little tips. Some of that is what I did for the first 3 years we were here. :headbang:

Was anyone else scared about his wood stove set up? A stove sitting on too little of a base, and I say base because it was hardly fireproof. It was sitting upon a wooden floor with bricks laid over it WITHOUT mortar. One spark or ember dropped out of that stove and between the cracks of the bricks and "whoosh" up in flames. Not to mention some feeble protection for his wooden walls.

One minute into his video and he already contradicted himself. "It takes awhile to learn the particulars of a stove"..."We have only had this stove about a month and half..". In my experience it takes at least a season to learn about anything. I have a new MS 461 chainsaw I would like to do a review on, but with only twenty cord across the bar, how can I properly give a review?

Unfortunately, someone such as he posts something such as this, and someone else who knows no better will consider it gospel.
    The results could be non-good.
