Been the busiest year I've ever had both at the resort and in the home shop. Managed to put an hour into blocking some wood today. Only got about 2.5 or so face cord done but I'm feeling pretty good about it. At the rate I'm going it'll be 2020 before I get 2018's wood ready.

Around here it will be November-December and January. By then, they have purchased more gas or fuel oil...

I am azz backwards. I have plenty of split dry wood and as of this week's windfall I should be on the three year plan. Still need to get a stove. Getting there, I have my eye on a local goodie.
Bret, once you start getting the splits stacked it will motivate you to process more. It is fun to watch the piles grow.

Well, you should have absolutely no burn issues once you get your stove, right?

Yupper, dry ash and locust. Haven't checked the other stuff but I hear lots of bright ringing tones when I throw splits around. We do have gas heat, but I cannot wait to warm my family with natural wood fuel.

Lots of good stoves out there. craigslist for used, BS for bargains and reasonably priced stoves. If you can afford it, get a modern stove. You will use way less wood to heat your home.

Amazing how much motivation to "remove butt from couch" a person can get after buying fuel oil or propane.
