    who pays 1.18$/KWH ? most residential rates in the Midwest united states at least are in the 9 cent/kwh to 13 cent/kwh range!

    The big problem with all of these is the huge environmental damage caused by making the batteries, just Google what the mines look like that they get the raw minerals out of.
    Most of these batteries are made in China because of the lax environmental standards there. Add the carbon footprint (if you believe in that ) caused by all that shipping, to the carbon footprint of the rest of the car, and you have the equivalent of the corn ethanol scam.

    You also don't want to crash in a battery powered car, all those toxic chemicals and sparks are a nightmare for you and the first responders.
    A lithium battery is worse, as it generates it's own oxygen when overheated.

    I believe the natural gas car is a good possibility, based on our supply
