    FHC friends, a member of OPE is planning to host a fall chainsaw GTG Oct. 22. I'm going to copy/paste his post with his permission here. Here is a link to the original post (click the H).

    So I'm thinking Saturday October 22 for a little shindig here in our picnic woods. I know there was already one closer to Pittsburgh but for a few Easterners it was a bit of a hike. We love to picnic and are fairly well set up for it. I live right outside Thompsontown PA, right in between Harrisburg and state college on rt 322.

    I figure on doing a rack of chicken legs and thighs and we'll see what else seems to be needed after a loose headcount comes in. Maybe I'll do a huge pot of beans and mac and cheese or something and everyone can bring what they want.

    I have lots of logs around that are 24" and down. No huge chunks like we had at the fantastic gtgs Chuck threw. If you have any you want to bring, feel free. I'll have either a skid loader with a grapple bucket or at least my old Ferguson 35 with a bucket to move stuff around.

    Housekeeping items:
    I want this to be family friendly and we do have a family rule of no alcohol in the woods. Please make sure if you plan to attend you can abide by that. Some will think this is dumb, but I don't really care

    If you're planning to attend, Let me know how many and if you're bringing anything. I'll start a list.


    With that, We can start a running list here and I'll make sure Kris knows the whos and whats.

    I'll bump this to the top. I have zero chance of getting off. As much as I would love to see some of you guys again and meet new people, see some bad azz saws, and be a guest on a beautiful piece of property!!

    Likewise Jon and looks like must of the guys who made my gtg will be there too. I'm thinking of having another one next spring if there is interest. I need to get your mom's baked bean recipe damm they are good.

    I just like old saws. Lol. I have a Lombard wonder that I haven't started in a while. I'll try to get it rippingbif I have time. We'll see... I'll likely be dragging some logs up tonight and few more to come.
