oh, please....the dealer never told them to read it....not their fault....and they certainly ARE NOT going to pay the service charge to fix the unit either...because....wait for it.......its NOT THEIR fault!

In a box in the basement, covered in dust, FAR from the stove?

Those d**n dealers.....not leading the owner by the hand to the manual.....gotta be their fault.

Too much sawdust to allow pellets to auger. Easy service call. I like those. I did one today where I merely had to blow through the vacuum hose because there was sawdust built up in the connection at the hopper tube. Quad Castile insert.... Oh and all the crap built up in the heat exchangers. I bet he needs the flue cleaned too.

I like your pics and your quiz routine lol

I have had more than one owners' manual left in the ash pan....usually you can see the remains under the fire brick and flame guide......but, of course they read it.......

yup, run it til it chits da bed then call it a POS scream at the dealer then finally call a pro in to "fix" it.

had a guy call me a few months ago who ran a stove literally for almost a month before he opened the door, actualy was on the phone with me when he was trying to get the door open. guy had just dumped in bag after bag and left it going. of course his problem was our "junk" stove that you could depend on to run all winter long.

just shook my head and advised he read the "cleaning schedule" in the manual. some folks just shouldnt have pellet stoves

I cleaned a 1200 today that was even worse than the one pictured. It had so much soot/ash in the heat exchangers I couldn't even see them! It also had the same look at the bottom of the hopper. This is the 4th stove that I've had to empty the hopper on this week and it's only Wednesday....

Sadly, the ultimate culprit was actually the vacuum switch..... I can't believe it was even burning at all. It would shut down after 10-20 minutes with both thermocouple lights on. I checked continuity on the vacuum switch and it would give up the ghost in about that much time and quit delivering power. Maybe a little pin hole in the diaphragm? Not sure.

Haha wouldn't surprise me if the manual was inside the hopper
and is now jammed down in the auger.
