Maybe the best thing to do is ignore him.

 

I personally think that the best option for him is to stay in the locker room until after the anthem. After a few times of not being on the field, the media can interview him and let him spout off. What he is doing now, intentionally shows disrespect.

 

You are most likely right.

 

I agree that it shows disrespect, but we can't ignore his right to do it. After a while he will get the message that the fans aren't happy and it may ruin his career for being wanted by any other team.

 

Went to the Agway and picked up Natures Miracle Skunk odor remover. Was going to buy another collar, but they didn't have the same one, only cheaper ones, so I'm soaking the old one in the odor remover.

 

I wonder if this is all he is doing? It's quite easy to just sit there, but is he doing anything to actually change what he perceives are the problems?

 

That is a good point. Haven't heard anything in regards to his helping any situation he feels is unjust.

We decided to take a ride by Gasifier 's house and what do we see, his wife took the day off and she was in the hole laying block when Gasifier was mowing the grass.

Sorry, but I disagree. He shouldn't have to stand if he doesn't want to. That is a free speech thing and he is welcome to it. I don't personally agree with it, but he is entitled to act however he wants as long as it doesn't hurt someone else (and don't pull any, it hurts my feelings sh*t - that don't fly around me - I'll hurt your feeling more - and enjoy it ).

If no one had brought attention to what he was doing, he wouldn't be getting any traction, but since there is attention to be had, now others are joining in - if nothing else, for face time.

Reinforcement lesson 1 - reinforce behaviors you want , ignore those that you don't. 99% of the time, that will get the results you want without any effort at all.

 

Everyone has the right to be stupid, and the right not to agree with the stupid.

I think what's he's doing is extremely disrespectful, but he has the right to do it.

I agree disrespectful not to stand and actually the negative attention is probably counter productive to whatever it is he protesting...which funny enough I don't even know what he is protesting.
