How I process firewood

    Nice setup. I bought a grapple and do the same thing. As long as you are awake, keeping the log balanced should not be an issue. A buddy of mine has a beefy saw buck that he sets logs on as well. Gotta love tractors and toys:dex:

    This is how I split most (95%) of mine. I don't even own a milk crate.:D I just use the tractor loader bucket to hold the rounds and as a table to hold the 1/2 split rounds. I am considering pallet forks to make bucking easier, with zero bending over.

    I just slide them off the bucket to the splitter. Split the rounds in half, hold one half with my substantial belly, and place the other half on the bucket. Very easy on my back.

    Love the OP setup... nice work. Really wish I had the space and loolah for a real tractor like that.


    Love the splitter lift. Also wish somebody would make one for my Ariens... ok, I'm getting lazy, my Ariens is an H/V splitter... ;)
