    I learned many years ago (by being lazy) that I can split wood without having to chase it or keep picking it up.
    I found that this is easier then a tire or wrapping the round with a bungee cord.

    "You don't have to kill it to split it." Great words of wisdom. I learned that pretty early on, thank goodness. I barely have to swing with my Fiskars! It also makes it more satisfying when my son gets to split some rounds. He is a big kid, but he doesn't have his "man strength" yet. That is where proper technique comes in.

    I kinda like to do it that way, except when it's time to actually swing the axe.....I take a brake and call in the grandsons :smoke:
