    I've used a similar product - the Granberg Mini-mill. You could cut boards with it more accurately than you could probably manage freehand. Depending on the application, they might be good enough. But if you're planning on making fine furniture, expect to have to do a lot of jointing and planing to get to something useable.

    They work good to edge a log for cutting with an Alaskan mill. You don't have to roll them over that way.

    Seen them since the early 80's,first one was the Haddon Lumber Maker - same thing just different color.Dont know if original company is still in business.

    Thought about getting one sometime along with a Mini Mill for quick roughing out & edging some pieces.Though for short stuff 2 to 4 foot long I normally can get within 1/8" of parallel/square when cutting freehand with sharp .404 chain & a wider old-school fat belly bar....

    Usually don't bother setting up the Granberg for short stuff unless its extra special and/or I need absolute accuracy.Since normally everything is trimmed/trued up on bandsaw later after its thoroughly dried.
