Impressive TripleF. I read you don't have a saw, but are the 3' lengths by accident or design?

    Yep, no chainsaw.......all elbow grease.
I actually built a drying rack between 2 trees yesterday and began filling with hand cut pieces. (I'll post pics when it gains
    a little height.)
I'd use a chainsaw if I had one, but tis not the case.

Those were cut in those lengths with my bare hands.....:smoke:just kidding. The guy who cut down the tree in February for my bro in-law cut them that size.
He was preparing to make them into smaller lengths when my bro in-law stopped him.

My wife wants to know why I cut and split wood in this God-awful heat and humidity? I told her, so it's dry and perfect to burn in the winter!! :D

You know , being our probably furthest south ambassador of the FHC, I commend you for trying to burn down there when the rest of those folks are cowering in their air conditioned rooms. Kudos my friend!

It's supposed to get down into 40's tonight, 52 here now and the windows are open. We are totally enjoying the cool weather.

Thought I'd update my progerss on this downed tree......I'm hoarding this little pile of red maple for firepit (cigar smoking/whiskey drinking) season.
    I know....I know.......it's tiny, but it's what I got!

What you have is what you have. It's all good! Being that you are one of southern most members, and not dealing with subzero temps. I think you're doing just fine.:stacke:
